A Night at the Ace; Reunions, Celebration, and Appreciation
The people have always been the the best part of my job. Being able to share our artist’s work in person as well as get to know people along the way has led to strong friendships that supersede the agent/client dynamic. So when COVID hit and in person shows and parties were cancelled, it took the best and biggest part of the job with it.
When things first started opening up, Le Book provided many opportunities to travel and see people. To that we added a summer trip to Chicago and we knew we were starting to get back to normal. However, nothing can compare to being in New York for most of the fall. Between the portfolio shows, shared meals and hugs, we were absolutely back and it felt great.
The best part of all, was the joy of co-hosting our annual Art Producer Appreciation party with my best friend Marianne Campbell. After a two year hiatus, it was the 10th party we've hosted and it felt like pre-covid times. With about 50 people in attendance, we laughed, caught up and toasted to being together. Reinvigorated and brimming with devotion for the people I get to work with, here's to the next 10 and more.
