Cade Martin's Spy Museum Series Wins "Best-in-Show" in This Year's Communication Arts Photography Competition
Congratulations to Cade Martin and his team! Their International Spy Museum project was selected as "Best-in-Show" for the Communication Arts 2023 Photography Competition. Sharing Cade's words and reflections on this recognition:
"Decoded: Very cool to be recognized among 2,200 entries, and the 367 that made it into the finals round. From the 122 of those that were selected for the competition, our branding campaign for the International Spy Museum (one of Washington, DC’s coolest destinations) was selected for Best-in-Show. The Best-in-Show is selected from all the categories across the competition, so the nine judges consider this work the best of the best for 2023.
Communication Arts is the premier source of inspiration for graphic designers, art directors, design firms, corporate design departments, advertising agencies, interactive designers, illustrators and photographers—everyone involved in visual communication. CA’s content and annual competitions provide new ideas and information while promoting the highest professional standards for the field.
Decoded: There's no "I" in spy, and it was extra special to be recognized by and with my peers, and to have worked on this project with such a talented team. I was thrilled to get to work with the fresh, creative team - a big thank you to Zach Goodwin and Maggie Winters - at January Third, as well as the chance to team up with Robert Luessen and Jackie Ney of NLD Productions. I was grateful for the opportunity to work with long-time creative partner Fedde Souverein at Luminous Creative Imaging, in collaboration on CGI and retouching."
