Heather Elder Represents Welcomes Claire & Jeremy Weiss of Day19 to the Roster

We are excited to announce that Claire and Jeremy Weiss of Day19 are now a part of the Heather Elder Represents roster! Together, they have a keen eye for capturing beautiful and authentic imagery, and as a duo, they provide their clients with double the content. Their portfolio spans from global photography campaigns and impactful broadcast commercials to touching documentary work and ongoing personal projects, all backed by their laid-back attitudes and soulful perspectives.

While they live full-time in the New York Metro area, after 20 years in Los Angeles, they couldn’t fully say goodbye and still maintain a studio in LA. We hope you get to work with them soon and experience firsthand their collaborative nature, but until then, we wanted to introduce Claire and Jeremy to you.

Describe your photography style in 3 words.

Claire - honest, emotional and cinematic.

Jeremy - Sprightly, timeless, daft. 

What’s your word for 2023?

Claire - Perseverance

Jeremy - Sonder 

Last movie you saw in a theatre?

Claire - Spiderman with my 9yr old.

Jeremy - Cocaine Bear. 

Who would play you in a movie?

Claire - Frances McDormand

Jeremy - H.I. McDunnough

What are you known for?

Claire - We’re known for being fun, collaborative and easy to work with. 

Jeremy - In our work or our personal life? I’d say in our work we’re known for bringing a raw, honest, documentary approach to advertising photography. It’s very common nowadays but it definitely wasn’t common  when we started.

Best part of working as a duo?

Claire - Having someone you can trust to share ideas with and feeling ok about quickly leaving set to pee.

Jeremy - Having the person you are most comfortable with there with you all the time. 

What is your favorite meal?

Claire - Anything vegan, fresh and perfectly seasoned. I love food. 

Jeremy - I don’t think I have one. Claire loves food and it drives her crazy sometimes how little I care or think about food or eating. Do Wint O Green lifesavers count?

What is the one thing people don't know about you? 

Claire - I used to have an English accent.

Jeremy - I was sponsored by WD-40 for bike racing at age 10, a bike shop for skateboarding at age 16, and a ski shop for snowboarding at 18. I also went to college on a sports scholarship and never actually played the sport before dropping out. That was all before I started taking pictures.

What is your favorite thing to do on a Sunday?

Claire - Go on a hike in the woods with my family and our dog Truman and then play tennis together.

Jeremy - Pull my family around on a big raft behind a boat in a huge oval for hours.

Travel location on your bucket list? 

Claire - There are so many. I love Japan and want to explore more outside of Tokyo, Scandinavian countries, Costa Rica, Greece, Italy.

Jeremy - More places in the Scandinavian countries. Can’t get enough of them.
